On Saturday, September 17th, the men of the Chorus of the Atlantic, under the direction of Kirk Thomson, shared some time and a few tunes with the patients in the Rehab Unit at the Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank.
The chorus performed several songs; among them: Something, Under The Boardwalk, Still Of The Night, Orange Colored Sky, and Ragtime Joe. The quartet, Reprise, demonstrated the four parts in barbershop harmony by each singing the introductory line in Let Me Call You Sweetheart. Another chapter quartet, Can't Dance, sang Bye Bye Blues for the patients who typically have an extended 4-6 week stay while doing physical rehabilitation.
The sound in the room is exceptional. Standing beneath the hard surfaces of the fold down tables, the chorus heard each part well. The singing was spectacular. Everyone agreed, we brought the "A" Chorus.
