The Chorus enjoyed sharing holiday cheer with the patients of the Riverview Medical Center Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit.
The board of directors of the Red Bank Area Chapter have selected Riverview as one of our outreach partners in Red Bank.
Patient stays in the rehabilitation unit vary based on the needs of the patient, however, typical stays are about 6 weeks.
During 2016, the chorus will return to the rehab unit every 6 weeks to perform for the new patients.
An article about our visit Sunday, December 20, 2015 is available here from the Atlantic Highlands Herald.
The Chorus of the Atlantic performed the Star-Spangled Banner, America the Beautiful and God Bless America during the 9/11 Ceremony hosted by the Red Bank Elks at Riverside Garden Park. The ceremony was attended by Red Bank Mayor Pat Menna.
The Chorus of the Atlantic (COA) returned to FirstEnergy Park to entertain the crowd at FirstEnergy Baseball Park, home of the Lakewood Blueclaws on Tuesday, August 11th. There was a slight rain delay during which the chorus sang. Unfortunately, the microphones were not working properly.
The performance was a return engagement. The chorus performed on June 16 this year, but due to rain was not able to sing during the 7th inning stretch so the Lakewood Blueclaws invited us to come back as their guests to perform again.
The chorus performed under the direction of Craig Page, the Star-Spangled Banner to open the game. And during the 7th inning stretch sang, God Bless America.
